Bigger than a retreat.
Not quite a conference.
Small business Saturday.
But make it a retreat.
A year ago, facing a career change and a real shot at doing things my way, I started dreaming up something new. Not quite a retreat. Not quite a conference.
A series of small group destination trips built around creativity, community, and travel, with local artists and makers as the real stars of the show.
Creative Retreats. Reimagined.
Creativity. Making things with our hands. Reconnecting with the art of creating, and spotlighting artists in their hometowns who might never have had this stage before.
Connection. New friends, a growing community, a reminder that doing things with people changes how it feels to do them at all.
Culture. Learning the history of a place and seeing how that story shows up in its everyday life.
Exploration. Curious, craving more, wanting to actually see the place we’re in. No more sitting inside a hotel.
You Belong Here
If you love to travel but you’re tired of doing it like a tourist.
If you’ve ever wanted to learn a new craft but didn’t want to sit through a class alone.
If community matters to you, but you haven’t quite found yours yet.
Or maybe...
…you’re the kind of person who makes friends everywhere you go.
…you’ve never quite felt like you belonged anywhere.
…you want to travel solo, but you don’t want to actually be alone.
I get it. Ten years ago I was running an online shop out of my one car garage, making things alone, selling things alone, celebrating wins alone. My family was supportive, but nobody around me really got what it meant to build something with your own two hands and then try to sell it to the world. The thing that changed everything for me wasn’t a tool or a strategy. It was finding people who got it. People I might only see once a year, but who I stayed close to all the same.
Community does that.
It helps you feel seen.
It gives you somewhere to put your energy and your art and your curiosity, and it gives that back to you tenfold.
That's what this is.
Travel as the backdrop, creativity as the language, and community as the whole point.
